In Centria, we have our feet firmly on the ground of three Ostrobothnian regions, on the Kokkola, Pietarsaari, and Ylivieska campuses. Our university of applied sciences (UAS) offers several great fields of study, skills, and achievements, of which students, personnel, and business life in the region can be proud of.
Therefore, it is no wonder that people from near and far come here, to receive the most international university education in the country, with an exceptionally strong spearhead on research and development. In fact, one in four of our almost 4,000 degree students, comes from outside Finland.
We do not like to brag about our daily work, but thanks to our responsible, hard-working, and genuinely caring attitude, we have been praised as the most flexible university of applied sciences in the country. Especially our multi-modal students, who work alongside their studies, have embraced the fact that, in Centria, everyone has their own unique path. On that path, like on campus corridors, students, personnel, and working life really meet, in concrete terms, and this creates endless opportunities.

Students can enroll in any subject offered by university.

Students are selected on the basis of points received from the entrance examination and a final interview. The entrance exam is in form of an online test. The instructions, detailed content and the schedule of the online entrance exam are going to be sent to eligible applicants by email. When filling the application form, applicants are advised to double-check if the given email address is functional. A functional email address is necessary in order to be able to contact applicants with essential guidelines.
The content of the entrance examination is based on given reading material and connected assignments. Applicants’ English language skills are going to be tested as well. The final interview takes place at the end of April and/or the beginning of May. A functional computer with a stable internet connection is required.

Admission results will be announced by May 31st at the latest. All accepted applicants will be informed about their admission by e-mail. It is essential to apply with a valid email address so the results are able to reach the applicants. After being admitted, in order to be able to start their studies, applicants still have to accept the study place by logging into Studyinfo.fi and accepting the offered study place. If applicants have problems using the Internet and accessing the Studyinfo.fi, a pdf form can be provided by the Admissions office. By accepting the study place, applicants also register themselves as a present for the first academic year. If applicants wish to register as absent, they have to check the Enrolment section of Centria’s website to see if they are eligible to apply for such status and consult it further with the Admissions office.
